Jersey Giant Chickens

The Jersey Giant chickens are some of the loftiest birds in the entire galaxy that is fowl breeds. Originally created in the mean streets and farmlands of upper New Jersey, these birds really came into their own when the fact surfaced that they are not very good for commercial meat or egg production. This served the Giants very well as their populations soared since it takes, on average, good six-months for these tall birds to reach maturity. This is in stark contrast to the normal rate of maturity for the usual commercially viable chickens that only require a little over a months time to reach maturation.
